Kale Logistics Solutions- A leading global IT Solution provider to the Logistics, Airports & Transportation Supply Chains - announced the launch of its first 5th generation Single Window compliant application for Customs Brokers (CB) in India, which will enable Offline as well as Online Data capture for both air & sea mode transactions, thereby making the old client-server as well as web technology redundant. The workshop on Single Window was addressed in depth by the Guest of Honor for the evening- Shri Rajendra Kumar Meena- Joint Commissioner-Single Window, Indian Customs. Indian Customs is implementing the transformational Single Window Concept from 1st of April, 2016 where document filing for all the allied agencies like Plant Quarantine, ADC, FSSAI will be done online while filing EDI Documents to ICEGATE. The implications of this for the community and the measures being undertaken by customs to facilitate ‘Ease of Doing Business’ was explained by Shri Meena. The optional Offline Capture Interface is one of the path-breaking features of CANOPUS, which allows Customs Brokers to capture their transaction even when their internet connection is down for any reason. Once the internet connection is re-established, the new declarations are automatically loaded onto the web-based system thus minimizing the unproductive time.

CANOPUS is a very cost effective software and the CBs will no longer require system patches & upgrades as the application stays current with latest regulatory changes & compliances. This will considerably reduce their expenses incurred on annual maintenance charges.

BCHAA is looking at a technically superior solution at affordable and very competitive costs for its members to ensure that regulatory compliances are met and the members are also able to make a major technology upgrade. Kale Logistics has a proven track record in the space of developing web-based applications that are created factoring Industry opinion and pressing needs. CANOPUS too has been developed with inputs from the community, such that it completely digitizes the entire export, Import, Documentation & Invoicing for Custom Brokers, truly enabling ‘Ease of doing Business’.”

“The Customs Broking fraternity forms a critical link in the entire cargo movement and they needed a system which would not just automate their operations, but enable seamless connectivity across their trade network. The beauty of the system lies in supporting both Air & Ocean business and so also facilitating both online & offline information capture, which eliminates loss of time & business caused by poor internet connectivity. As a commitment to making the Indian Customs’ Single Window initiative successful, we are offering free usage of the system for 90 days and even subsequent usage is at minimal costs” said, Mr. Rajesh Panicker – Director, Kale Logistics.
